How to install a wall mounted utility sink.

Install the sink if your sink includes a mounting plate you can use that for a template to drill your pilot holes. The sink should be anchored to two wall studs. If there is no mounting plate use the holes in the back of the sink basin as your template. Slide the sink into place against the wall.

Drill your pilot holes for the lag screws which should be included with your wall mount sink. A wall mount kitchen faucet usually has a long spout but not a bathroom one and you could have problems with a short spout especially when used in conjunction with a wall mount or vessel sink. Place the mounting plate in the installation location and mark the wall through each of the mounting holes. Prepare the faucet drain and pop up.

The holes are located on the back of the tub skirt. Drill out the plastic filler panel holes on each side of the tub. When installing a wall mount bathroom faucet be sure you choose one with a spout long enough to clear the back of the sink. Do this on both sides.

Installing the new wall mounted sink measure the lag hole placements on the back of the new sink to see if the width between them is the same as the old sink. Insert tab a into the slot under the tub rim and slide the anchoring barb b into the hole you. Drill holes into the wall for wall anchors. Connect the two halves of the p trap and tighten the coupler with the slip joint pliers.

Use the drill bit. Keep the holes smaller than the width of the copper wall anchors.
